Welcome to my reborn nursery.
I first came across reborn dolls when somebody posted
about them in a forum I was a member of. It was only a matter of weeks after this that I purchased my first reborn doll.
I
then decided to try and reborn dolls for myself. My first reborn was a disaster and looked like it had a case of the measles..lol..but
I continued practicing for several months until I could reborn a doll that looked realistic. I constantly strive to improve
on each doll I create and am continously learning new techniques in reborning as this art form evolves all the time.
It
takes a lot of time and patience to reborn a doll. The rooting alone can take on average 30 hours to complete. The materials
required can be costly and therefore reborn dolls are not cheap to purchase. Occassionaly you may be able to pick up a bargain
if somebody is downsizing their collection but generally a reborn doll you can purcase very cheaply is usually of a low standard.
There are always exceptions to this rule though. Many reborners sell their reborns via ebay and some of them only sell via
their websites or at doll fairs. It is always best to search the internet, ebay or attend fairs to find the reborn you want.
The average price for a reborn doll is around £150-£250. Please be aware though that some dolls that are around this price
do not necessarily indicate a good reborn. If you are unsure if the doll is a good quality reborn then request more pictures
from the artist. If buying from an auction site it is also worth checking the sellers feedback to see how previous buyers
have felt about their purchases.
Reborn dolls can be addictive and once you purchase your first reborn it wont be
too long before you start adding more...or attempting to reborn your own. On my links page you will find links to some of

tutorials if you decide to try your hand at reborning.
